A project in the UK aims to build a new 'Patriot' steam locomotive to preserve the legacy of the Patriot class engines, as well as to act as a memorial the First World War.

The new engine, to be called 'The Unknown Warrior', will be a memorial to all those who served in the Great War. The project is hoped to be completed in time for the centenary of the Armistice in 2018.
