The First World War in 261 weeks is originally a Dutch podcast, written and produced by journalist Tom Tacken and translated into English by Peter Veltman.

The weekly episodes each introduce a new character of the Great War based on the events of that week in history.

The series will run from 28 June 2014 (shooting at Sarajevo) until 28 June 2019 (Peace of Versailles).

The podcast is downloadable on itunes or from the website.
