Dame Judi Dench campaigns for forgotten VC

The Daily Express has reported that British actress Dame Judi Dench has agreed to serve as patron for the Columbine Campaign, which seeks to honour a forgotten Victoria Cross recipient.

Herbert Columbine received Britain’s highest military honour, the Victoria Cross.

It is hoped funding to erect a monument in his honour in his home town in Essex, England, will be secured as a result of the campaign.
