This blog on the National Geographic TV Blog site is about the controversial sinking of the passengers ship by German forces in 1915. It is related to a TV show produced by National Geographic that aims to assess some of the myseteries surrounding the sinking. What was the cause of the second explosion on board, seconds after the torpedo? Was the ship carrying war munitions?

While the show was aired in August, the blog and another entry on the website has an article about the ship and its famous sinking as well as photographs both of the Lusitantia in 1915 and the wreck as it is today. An insight into one of the most chilling and mysterious stories to come out of the Great War.
